May Compassion, Wisdom and Strength Shine Through
Buy thy life with thy young years They said to youthful man Or the cold wind of age and fame Will blow you o'er the land Else sword and spear may rend thy life Of what your vision held And 'ere the long grass grows above ye On that knobby knell Buy thy life with thy strong heart And while your vision's keen Keep the rudder of thy ship Upon the Sun's bright beam And waver not, stay fast and true Go forth with all your might To conquer foe, to win the goal For Honor, God, and Right The Ship may keel, the mast be thrown And pallor to and fro May call your members up in arms To bring you down below But know that these of lies, deceit Know not of lofty goals The will to win, the fire within Will guide you to God's throne
